VicFleet

VicFleet provides motor vehicle services and support to organisations across Victorian Government. Fleet managers can access information on how to purchase, register and insure a vehicle, as well as useful information on a range of vehicle related issues.

VicFleet services are provided by the Government Services Group at the Department of Treasury and Finance. The Government Services Group is the portfolio responsibility of the Minister for Finance, WorkCover and the Transport Accident Commission, Tim Holding MP.

What does VicFleet do?

VicFleet:

• facilitates the financial and organisational development of the Victorian Government motor vehicle fleet by providing:
  • vehicle acquisition, maintenance and disposal services;
  • whole-of-government vehicle related contracts; and
  • a vehicle lease facility for Government Departments and Agencies.
• maintains the Whole-of-Government motor vehicle policy environment and provides advice to government on motor vehicle issues.
• operates a vehicle hire service to government organisations via the State Government Vehicle Pool (SGVP); and
• provides a range of fleet management services for client departments and agencies (VicFleet Management and Leasing).

Organisational Environment

VicFleet’s central Management, Policy and Finance functions are located at 120 Collins St, Melbourne.

The State Government Vehicle Pool (SGVP) and VicFleet Management and Leasing (VM&L) operate from the Basement level at 55 St Andrews Place, East Melbourne.

Buying a Used Vehicle

If you are interested in purchasing an ex-lease government vehicle, regular Wednesday public auctions are held.
Details of auction times and vehicles offered are updated on the VicFleet website the Friday prior to an auction.
