The Victorian government is currently reforming the state’s public finance framework.
The government wants to modernise and simplify this framework and ensure best practice public financial management continues in Victoria. The Financial Management Act 1994 will be replaced by a more cohesive legislation framework for public finance.
As part of this review a discussion paper was released to canvass the views of the community about how this legislation can meet contemporary and future needs.
More than thirty individual and group submissions were received in response to the discussion paper, and those that were not requested to remain confidential are attached below.
